Panda Bear - Comfy In Nautica (Unofficial Ernest Gonzales Remix)

It seems that the Panda Bear-hype had died-down after a frantic 2007, which saw the Animal Collective man shifting a fair amount of copies of Person Pitch, as well as riding high on those lucrative end-of-year charts.
Now Ernest Gonzales has given his own personal take on one of the highlights from that record (who are we kidding, the whole record was excellent), by remixing past single Comfy In Nautica (here's our review of the original single).
While the original version was a hypnotic blend of hand claps, percussion and Noah Lennox's ethereal vocals (watch the video), Gonzales retains all of those qualities, but smothers the lot in a pulsing beat and wirey, disorted digital bass.
It's hardly ground-breaking stuff, but just proves that Person Pitch was such a powerful record that even a year on it's impact can still be heard. Download the MP3 here, or check it out in the audio stream:
