Zealous Records
Zealous Records is an independent record label based in New York City. The label showcases bands that are honest and powerful, with the grit and passion to make you feel something. It develops acts that understand and embody the elements that made rock and roll the dominant force it once was.
Zealous first came to prominence through its ground breaking Soul Sides series, the first collaboration between a traditional record label and new MP3 blog. Embracing new technology and consumer trends Soul Sides was a critical and commercial success.
Zealous brought Australian multi-platnium indie-rockers Evermore to national attention with the release of the debut album Dreams. Zealous helped to develop what has been called the "indie-country' scene with releases by Ireland's The Basement and New York City's The Morning Pages and Alana Amram.
The label sums up its stance on their website by saying, "We live in a time where the music that has so heavily influenced modern American culture is being ignored. Our goal is to find bands that embrace those roots, while pushing them into new territories."
Zealous Records is an imprint of the Velour Music Group and is distributed worldwide by Universal Music Group.
