Invisible Spies
Based in Sheffield, Invisible Spies has released some of the most bizarre, forward-thinking experimental music around. Yet they remain fairly unknown.
Starting off with the name of See You Next Tuesday, the label released a handful of 7" singles by Mongrels, Brian And The Teenagers plus Toah Dynamic.
They then changed their name to Invisible Spies in 2001, when the first (and best) Toah Dynamic album Movement was released.
Singles and albums have followed ever since, covering everything from kitchen sink percussion, dirty post punk mayhem and medieval hip hop. Their inhouse artwork is done by the ultra talented graffiti artist Kid Acne.
Artists include:
Kid Acne,
Supreme Vagabond Craftsman,
Toah Dynamic,
Earl Shilton,
Mongrels,
Chips For The Poor
