Twisted Charm
Brothers Nathan (vox/guitar) and Dominic (drums) have known each other since Dominic was born. Some 18 or so years later (when both boys were on the dole doing nothing but scratching their arses and watching foreign films) they met John, a like-minded local lad (but one with a job) who’d recently been learning the guitar. After a few weeks though he decided he was shit and chose the bass instead as it was a lot easier.
Bred on a diet of punk, new wave, jazz, hip hop and too many episodes of Chris Morris's Jam, the wayward boys began to play their instruments together, interspersed by Nathan singing/shouting over the top.
A year later they moved down to north London from their grey, un-eventful hometown somewhere in Northamptonshire. There they met the young but sulky looking Luke who reckoned he could play sax. It turned out he could and with him the new Twisted Charm sound began to take shape. After a period playing some of the dirtiest venues on the toilet circuit they were mercifully picked up by new label 1234 Records.
Now with a few record sales behind them they hope to sell even more records so they can afford to live somewhere other than the vermin infested shit-holes that they currently reside in. Armed with a Citroen estate family car, poncey footwear and songs about whores, boredom and human behaviour, Twisted Charm aim to kick re-gurgitated r'n'r in the throat and replace it with a more modern, obstinate and unhealthy approach to making music.
