Mainstream attention began for the star when he release his classic Has It Come To This single, which was followed by the acclaimed debut album Original Pirate Material. Subsequent albums were met with the same feverish praise.

The music of The Streets is made of hip hop, grime, garage and ska. He has also worked with such artists as Kano and Lady Sovereign.
