Talib Kweli is a rapper from Brooklyn in New York. His real name is Talib Kweli Greene and apparently, it's Arabic for The Seeker.

In his early days, Kweli worked with producer Hi-Tek and later with rapper Mos Def, as the group Black Star.

His first album as a solo artist was 2002's Quality, an album which received much critical acclaim. Several albums have since followed (2004's The Struggle and 2006's Ear Drum) and have been met with the same positive feedback.
