Originally from Cornwall, Ed Syder was raised on a steady diet of saturday morning cartoons, sugar-based cereals, punk rock, skateboarding and underground comics. In the late-nineties he left Liverpool Art School to seek his fortune in the world of illustration. His "career" has included designing for skateboard companies and record labels.
What he really likes to do though, is paint and listen to Led Zeppelin. He doesn't like writing 'artist statements' that much. His work is apparently a dayglo celebration of vice, automotive hedonism and existentialist abandon. And if you believe that, then you’ll probably believe anything.
