Mobb Deep (also known as The Infamous Mobb Deep) is an American hip hop group consisting of Havoc (real name Kejuan Muchita) and Prodigy (real name Albert Johnson).
The duo met as students at Manhattan's prestigious High School of Art and Design, and decided to use rap as a way to talk about their experience with crime, gangs and poverty.
Their first album, Juvenile Hell, was released in 1993, and earned them a contract with Loud Records. In 1995 they released The Infamous, which was well received by hip hop fans.
