Mercury Rev

Mercury Rev are an American band who released their first album Yerself Is Steam, in 1991. The band started off making psychedelic guitar music, but later changed their sound into a more epic, orchestral sound.

Mercury Rev are largely compared to The Flaming Lips and have been cited as an influence on many contemporary bands. Vocalist Jonathan Donuhue was a former guitarist with The Flaming Lips.
