LL Cool J (short for Ladies Love Cool James) is a highly successful American rapper, and has been listed in the Top 10 greatest rappers of all time by MTV.
His first release was "I Need A Beat" in 1984, which was also Def Jam's first hit record. A Year later he recorded the album "Radio", which went platinum. He continues to release new material to this day.
