Ice Cube (real name O'Shea Jackson) is a West Coast rapper, actor and film director.
His rapping career began rapping alongside a friend, Sir Jinx, in a partnership called C.I.A.
In 1987 he became a founding member of pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A., after persuading his friend, Eazy-E, to perform on a track called Boyz-N-The-Hood.
Ice Cube later left N.W.A. to pursue a successful solo career. In 1990 he released his first solo album, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, recorded with the help of Da Lench Mob and the Bomb Squad.
