A band from the "Madchester" period of the late 80's and early 90's, notoriously fronted by Sean Ryder and featuring dancer Bez.

Happy Mondays were part of the Factory Records roster, who helped establish the scene with a series of albums that combined indie and dance.

Their first album was 1986's Squirrel And G-Man 24 Hour Party People Plastic Face Carn't Smile The White Out. Which was then followed by the classic Bummed LP.

Their biggest and most successful was the Pills, Thrills 'n' Bellyaches album, which spawned such hits as Step On and Kinky Afro.

Their fourth and final album Yes Please suffered criticism after the band self-exploded due to heavy drug abuse, and recorded a collection of poor tracks.
