Fat Joe (real name Jose Antonio Cartagena) is an American rapper who is half Puerto Rican and half Cuban.
His hip hop career began in the mid-1990s, when he was a member of D.I.T.C crew, which got its name because members would "dig in the crates" of used record shops to find rare material they could use in songs.
His first single, "Bet Ya Man Can't", was released in 1998, and featured Big Pun.
