Dr. Dre (born André Romell Young) is an influential rapper, music producer and actor.

Dre's career began in gangsta rap group N.W.A. He later went solo, releasing his 3x Platinum album, The Chronic in 1992. This was followed in 1999 by The Chronic 2001, which was 6x Platinum.

He was the co-founder of Death Row Records with Suge Knight, and later founded Aftermath Entertainment.

Dr. Dre is also responsible for launching the careers of many highly successful rappers, including: Snoop Dogg, Eminem and The Game.
