Damon Gough's unlikely, and inspiring rise to fame is a well documented one.

The first Badly Drawn Boy article review I read was the first time I had ever heard the word troubadour, and in relation to BDB it wasn't the last.

Records like Damon's are rare, literally (EP1 now commands up to £150). Damon is a contemporary singer-songwriter who can write a love song that rejoices and celebrates love as opposed to complaining about it.

BDB is a multi-faceted craftsman whose inspirations are broad and uncompromised, variety is the spice of his life.

Named after a seventies cartoon character and a drawing by his nephew the BDB moniker is a statement of intent, his honest approach to live music is no different to his approach to recording his 300,000 selling award winning debut LP "Hour of Bewilderbeast".

His music is automatic and immediate.
