Andre 3000 is the alias of Andre Benjamin - an American hip hop artists from Atlanta, Georgia.
Andre (often abbreviated to Dre) is a rapper, producer and also an actor, but he is best known for being one half of OutKast (alongside Antwan "Big Boi" Patton).
Besides hip hop, Andre 3000 cites his musicial influences as punk and new-wave bands. Other aliases he uses include: Dookie, Benjamin Andre and Johnny Vulture.
